“BOYS TO MEN” CHORAL FESTIVAL 2011

Now in its eighth year and hosted by the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix, the “Boys to Men” Choral Festival engages junior and senior high school male singers with the highest level of artistic leadership and encourages them to continue singing after their school experiences. The “Boys to Men” project was originated by the Phoenix Chorale in 2002 and aims to promote community-wide access to choral training and development for young male singers. Over 300 men and boys from the ASU Men’s Chorus, Phoenix Metropolitan Men’s Chorus, Spirit of Phoenix, the men of the Phoenix Chorale and the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix will join together in singing in this celebration of the male voice. All regional high school, middle school and junior high male choirs and individual male singers are invited and strongly encouraged to attend this festival. The public concert begins at 4:30 pm. Tickets are $3 at the door (not available in advance of the event). Visit www.orpheus.org for the latest information.

A CHORALE CHRISTMAS – December 17-20, 2011
The Phoenix Chorale celebrates the spirit of the holiday season with your favorite carols and selections from our new recording “Of A Rose.” You’ll hear Lo, How a Rose, How Far is it to Bethlehem?, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, and more. You’ll also hear four setting of O Magnum Mysterium -  one each by René Clausen, Morten Lauridsen, Tomas Luis de Victoria, and Ola Gjeilo (including his Serenity: O Magnum Mysterium from our upcoming CD of his music) and more. CLASSICAL REVOLUTION PHOESTIVAL

Hosted by the Phoenix Chorale and presented by Classical Revolution Phoenix, the Classical Revolution Phoestival features multiple stages and a variety of chamber ensembles from brass quintets to woodwind ensembles to guitar to a demonstration of the Great Cathedral Organ at Trinity Cathedral and more! The Phoestival begins at 6:30 pm and takes place at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Stages include Atwood Hall, the Cathedral, and in the upstairs Auditorium. More details will be available soon.
