Phoenix Chorale to make virtual debut in VOCES8 Foundation's digital choral festival Live From London…
We are so sad to share the news that Dr. Timona Pittman passed away last week at the age of 91. Timona and her husband, Dr. Hal Pittman, cofounded the Bach & Madrigal Society of Phoenix (now the Phoenix Chorale) in their living room in 1958.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, September 26 at 10:00 am at Trinity Cathedral.
She lived a creative, uniquely artistically productive and intellectually vibrant life and was a champion of the arts in Phoenix supporting Ballet Arizona, Phoenix Chamber Music Society, and The Phoenix Symphony among many many others. Her contributions of time, passion, and energy, continue to be felt in the arts and culture community of Phoenix even today. She will be sorely missed. Read her full obituary here >
