“A sparkling holiday favorite for all music-loving Phoenicians, December wouldn’t be the same without the Chorale’s Christmas performance run which ends in the stunning surroundings of Brophy Chapel. This program will feature the world premiere performance of internationally-renowned choral composer Cecilia McDowall’s new commission for the Chorale.

Chris Gabbitas

Christmas is inextricably linked with music. Whether decking the hall, shopping for presents, enjoying fellowship with family and friends caroling out in the crisp night air, we naturally gravitate towards those old familiar songs (and some new favorites!). This is not a new phenomenon: for centuries the church has saved some of its best music for the celebration of the birth of Jesus, and as singers we have a rich heritage from which we can draw in order to ensure that we present the very best soundtrack to your season. A Chorale Christmas has become one of the staple events in the Valley’s festive calendar, and this year we present a special program of music old and new with the intention of bringing you tidings of comfort and joy and adding some sparkle to your Holiday Season!

COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOL

The Phoenix Chorale is deeply committed to the health and safety of everyone, not only within our organization but also those who attend our concerts. To that end, we have verified that all Phoenix Chorale personnel, including artists, staff and volunteers have been vaccinated prior to participating in any chorale activities. In addition, we have developed the requirements listed for our subscribers and ticket holders. Specific health and safety protocols are subject to change. We will update audience health and safety protocols to align with medical and public health advice and will comply with the guidelines set by the CDC, our State and local governments, and the venues in which we perform. Changes will be clearly communicated in advance of any performance.

Ticket holders who do not comply with these protocols will not be admitted.

  • All patrons will be required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. We will provide one if you have forgotten yours. This is in accordance with current CDC guidelines for high transmission areas.
  • Upon arrival all patrons must submit to a mandatory temperature check. Patrons with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to enter the space. In this event, tickets will be refunded in full and all options to view the performance will be explained.
  • We expect all of our patrons to be vaccinated. At present we are not requiring proof but this may change.
  • Do not come if you have recently been exposed to a person with COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, or have been sick with COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
