In what is sure to be one of THE cultural highlights of the Valley’s Spring calendar, join the Chorale for our two-night residency at Phoenix Art Museum, with chamber orchestra and animated art projections.

The 2023 Masterworks series juxtaposes two stunning and virtuosic works of the baroque and the contemporary, as an examination of differing aspects of power: from Handel’s almost apocalyptic ode to royalty Dixit Dominus, to Kirkland Snider’s plea for better care of our planet and fellow creatures in Mass for the Endangered.

The visual art has been uniquely created for each movement of Mass for the Endangered by artist Deborah Johnson (@CandyStations), who has designed for artists such as Kronos Quartet, Sufjan Stevens, Alarm will Sound and My Brightest Diamond. Get a preview of the art & music here.

There will also be a traditional concert format presentation without artwork at Camelback Bible Church.

Phoenix Art Museum concerts will have well-stocked cash bar with a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, plus signature cocktails. Doors will open at the Museum at 6:30pm.

The performance on Friday 24th March at Phoenix Art Museum will be followed by a Talkback with the composer Sarah Kirkland Snider, @CandyStations and Simone Netherlands from the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group.

The performance on Saturday 25th March at Phoenix Art Museum will feature an installation and performance from ASU Concert Choir, led by Dr Jace Kaholokula Saplan.
