It has come to our attention that the air conditioning unit at our usual Saturday venue, Trinity Cathedral, is not currently operating. Fortunately, in order to ensure the comfort of our patrons and singers, the wonderful people at ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL CHURCH have graciously offered their beautiful venue to host our May 11th concert.
Due to this disruption, the concert on Friday May 10th at First United Methodist Church in Mesa has been cancelled. Our Box office will be reaching out to those patrons affected to exchange tickets for a different performance or offer a refund.
Enjoy the sublime sounds of Phoenix Chorale! Hear the Chorale share a preview of our A Capella program, “Horizons” as Artistic Director Christopher Gabbitas leads an intimate look at preparation for what is sure to be a stunning concert.

Building on the momentum of recent triumphant performances at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts which audiences described as “absolutely breathtaking” and “a transcendent experience,” Phoenix Chorale closes the season by returning to their purest form: unaccompanied voices.
Experience folksong, contemporary composition, and Renaissance motets on a journey stretching beyond the horizon. HORIZONS is an eclectic a capella program of international music with Phoenix at the crossroads. With sounds from Scotland, Japan, New Zealand, Newfoundland, Chile, and South Africa, HORIZONS is an expansive cultural exchange, held over Mother’s Day weekend.
HORIZONS will feature the 4th world premiere in the Chorale’s Commissioning Series from women composers. Phoenix Chorale is proud to present the world premiere of No Final Shore by one of the most in-demand composers of the moment: Joanna Marsh.
“Today’s increased focus on being who we are, and finding a sense of belonging and place in our communities, is a concept that has resonated with nations, tribes and peoples throughout history, says Phoenix Chorale Artistic Director Christopher Gabbitas. “In Horizons, we look at themes of community, displacement, exile and reconciliation. Considering the lives of those who live close to borders both natural and man-made, Phoenix Chorale takes its audience on a journey from here to there, and back home again.” -Christopher Gabbitas, Artistic Director
We thank Cordova & Jones for their generous sponsorship of the Camelback Bible Church concert.
