Where beauty murmurs to the soul asleep:’ (Idyll – Siegfried Sassoon)

LIVE From London Easter runs from 23 March – 26 April 2026, celebrating life, love and renewal. Produced by the VOCES8 Foundation, the festival pairs cherished masterworks with bold premieres, weaving new poetry into traditional sacred settings to refresh spirits.

The VOCES8 Foundation Choir & Orchestra present the online premiere of Composer-in-Residence Taylor Scott Davis’ Requiem, released simultaneously by Decca Classics on the album i carry your heart. Blending Sassoon’s poetry with the Mass, the work offers luminous hope and consolation for our time. Barnaby Smith and the Illyria Consort explore Bach solo cantatas, while APOLLO5 presents a varied programme in The Evening Primrose. Completing the festival is Bach’s Mass in B minor, performed by VOCES8, star soloists and the Academy of Ancient Music in a joyful celebration of Easter.
