GET INTO THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT!
FREE OPEN REHEARSAL – DECEMBER 5, 2014
Featuring music from upcoming “A Chorale Christmas” concerts

IMG_20140916_121211(Phoenix, AZ) – Get into the holiday spirit at the Phoenix Chorale’s next Free Open Rehearsal! On Friday, December 5, the Phoenix Chorale offers a behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming holiday concerts, “A Chorale Christmas: Music by Arvo Pärt & Ola Gjeilo.” And for the first time, this special event also features a special sing-along for the audience to join the Phoenix Chorale in song!

The evening also features a free raffle with the chance to win CDs and concert tickets. The sing-along begins at 8 pm and will feature Erik Goldstrom on the Great Cathedral Organ. Join the Chorale in singing “Joy to the World,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” and “Silent Night.”

It’s also opening night in the Olney Art Gallery. This month the Olney Gallery is honoring World AIDS Day with several large panels from the AIDS Quilt (in Atwood Hall) and visual art from a variety of artists in the art gallery. Olney Gallery is located inside Trinity Cathedral on the north side of the Cathedral campus.

The Phoenix Chorale’s Free Open Rehearsals give everyone the opportunity to hear the Phoenix Chorale for free. Our Free Open Rehearsals take place inside the historic Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and are held during the First Friday Artwalk along Roosevelt Row from 6:30-9:30pm.

Each Free Open Rehearsal features the Chorale preparing for different upcoming concerts in the season. These rehearsals are presented in a very casual atmosphere – no tickets or reservations needed. Come as you are, whenever you want, stay as long as you’d like, and experience a special behind the scenes look at the music in the making.

PARKING: Parking is free at Free Open Rehearsals and can be found in the garage on the north side of the Cathedral and on neighboring streets.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Take the Metro Light Rail to the Roosevelt Arts District stop.
