CASSANDRA EWER is delighted to have sung with the Phoenix Chorale for over 20 years! During these years, she also performed nationally and internationally as a soloist and with professional ensembles including the Arizona Bach Festival and the Oregon Bach Festival, the Hilliard Ensemble, and Austin-based Conspirare, with recordings on the Chandos, Hänssler-Verlag, and Hamonia Mundi labels; she has sung on all of the Phoenix Chorale’s Chandos recordings.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, Cassandra holds degrees in vocal performance and music education; career highlights include the world premieres of Arvo Pärt’s Litany and Penderecki’s Grammy winning Credo, featured soloist on the Phoenix Chorale Grammy-winning CD Spotless Rose, as well as performances at World Choral Symposiums in Minneapolis, MN and Copenhagen Denmark, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
While the Phoenix Chorale was on hiatus during the quarantine, Cassandra continued singing by recording in the studio, releasing her first professional solo album “Coming Home” in December of 2020. She is overjoyed to be singing again, in person, with the Phoenix Chorale.
