JAMES GRANDJEAN is ecstatic to be joining the Phoenix Chorale for the first time this season. A native of Prescott, Arizona, he obtained his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University under the vocal guidance of Dr. William Christensen.

In addition to choral work, he has also sung tenor roles with Opera Breve, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, New York Opera Exchange, and the Opera Company of Brooklyn. Since moving to Phoenix three years ago he has served as the tenor section leader at Saint Maria Goretti Parish in Scottsdale, and has performed with other ensembles around the valley including Arizona Musicfest, The King’s Carolers, and the men’s schola at the ASU Newman Center.

James also recently worked as an Education Outreach Artist for Arizona Opera, and currently works for a yoga studio and small legal process serving company in Phoenix.
