JULIA POWERS is in her fourth season with the Chorale. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Baylor University.

In addition to choral performance, she is an ensemble member of the Arizona Opera Chorus, and an active soloist. She has recently performed lead roles in The Old Maid and the Thief with Seagle Festival, Little Women with Opera in the Ozarks, and Leoncavallo’s La Bohème with Tucson’s local concert opera company, Passion Project: Opera!

When she’s not performing, she loves to foster a love of all musical styles to her students in Tucson, AZ, where she has resided and taught private voice since 2018. Moving into 2022, she is ecstatic to once again be performing and bringing people from all walks of life together with song.
